Rocheston Vega - Privacy Notice Effective Date: June 18, 2026 Rocheston Vega is a privacy-first desktop web browser developed by Rocheston Inc., headquartered in New York, USA. This notice explains what data Vega does and does not handle, and it is consistent with the App Privacy information declared on the App Store. Vega is designed so that browsing activity stays on the user's device by default. OUR CORE COMMITMENT Rocheston does not collect, sell, rent, share, or monetize users' personal data or browsing activity. Specifically, Rocheston does not collect, transmit to Rocheston, or monetize browsing history, bookmarks, saved passwords, autofill data, cookies, private routing traffic, Tor traffic, DNS requests, search queries, or the contents of websites or sessions a user visits. Rocheston does not build advertising profiles, does not track users across apps or websites, and does not use any third-party advertising or analytics trackers in Vega. NO ROCHESTON ROUTING INFRASTRUCTURE Users' browsing traffic is not routed through Rocheston servers. Rocheston does not operate browser proxy servers, VPN servers, Tor relays, DNS logging servers, advertising systems, or traffic inspection systems for Vega. Because Rocheston operates no such infrastructure, it is unable to see, log, or analyze the websites a user visits. DATA STORED LOCALLY ON THE DEVICE Vega stores browsing data locally on the user's device so the browser can function normally. This may include open tabs, browsing history, bookmarks, cookies, cache, site data, and browser settings. This data remains on the device under the user's control. It is not transmitted to Rocheston. Users can view, clear, or delete this local browser data at any time through Vega's settings or through the operating system, where available. CRASH DIAGNOSTICS Vega may generate anonymous crash reports through the operating system's built-in crash reporting mechanism. Rocheston does not receive or process these reports directly. Any such reports are handled solely by the operating system, macOS, under Apple's own privacy policy and are not used by Rocheston to identify or profile users. OPTIONAL AI FEATURES Vega includes optional AI features that are turned off until a user chooses to use them. Users may optionally provide their own OpenAI API key to enable AI assistant features in Vega. When a user explicitly invokes an AI feature, Vega may send the specific content the user selected for that action, such as a prompt, selected page text, a task instruction, or related context, to the AI provider the user has configured, solely to fulfill that request. This data is sent only at the moment of the user's request and only for that request. Rocheston does not use this content for advertising, profiling, or training. When data is sent to a configured AI provider, that provider processes it under its own privacy policy and terms. Rocheston does not retain copies of AI request content on Rocheston servers. OPTIONAL PRIVATE ROUTING Vega offers optional private routing that requires the user to supply their own Outline-compatible access key or related credentials. Outline is a third-party VPN and server management tool from Jigsaw/Google that allows users to create and manage their own private VPN access. Users must set up and manage their own VPN servers. Rocheston does not provide, host, or operate any VPN or proxy servers for this feature. Rocheston does not provide Outline keys, does not route traffic through Rocheston infrastructure, and does not inspect, log, store, or monetize traffic that passes through a user's own server. This traffic is governed entirely by the operator of the server whose key the user provides. OPTIONAL USER-PROVIDED API KEYS Some optional Vega features may require the user to provide their own third-party API keys, access keys, or credentials. These keys are not required to use Vega's core browser features. Optional user-provided keys may be used for: 1. AI features Users may optionally provide their own OpenAI API key to enable AI assistant features in Vega. Rocheston does not provide, sell, issue, manage, or charge for OpenAI API keys. Any OpenAI usage costs are billed directly by OpenAI under the user's own OpenAI account. 2. Private routing / Outline by Jigsaw/Google Users may optionally provide their own Outline-compatible access key or related credentials to connect Vega to a VPN server that the user has set up or controls. Rocheston does not provide VPN servers, does not provide Outline keys, and does not charge for this feature. Any server, cloud, or third-party costs are the user's responsibility and are billed by the applicable third-party provider under the user's own account. Users can use Vega without entering any API keys or access keys. Rocheston does not sell, issue, manage, collect, store, or monetize user API keys, access keys, or credentials, and Rocheston does not collect user data from these optional integrations. OPTIONAL TOR BROWSING Vega offers optional, user-initiated Tor browsing. Rocheston does not operate Tor relays and does not collect, inspect, or log Tor browsing traffic. Tor traffic is handled by the independent Tor network, not by Rocheston. STANDARD NETWORK REQUESTS To function as a web browser, Vega makes standard network requests required for loading websites the user requests, performing DNS resolution including DNS over HTTPS, delivering security features, and supporting normal app functionality. These requests are part of ordinary browsing and are not used by Rocheston to identify, profile, or track users. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES Vega may interact with third-party services only when the user chooses to configure or use an optional feature. This may include an AI provider selected by the user for optional AI features, or a user-supplied Outline-compatible VPN/private routing setup. Rocheston does not provide these third-party accounts, API keys, access keys, VPN servers, or credentials. Rocheston does not charge for them. Any third-party costs are governed by the user's own relationship with the applicable provider. Any data handled by a third-party service is governed by that provider's own privacy policy and terms. AGE REQUIREMENT Vega is intended for users aged 17 and older. It is not directed to children. Rocheston does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 17. If Rocheston becomes aware that personal information has been inadvertently received from a user under 17, it will take steps to delete such information promptly. DATA RETENTION Rocheston does not maintain server-side records of user browsing activity, because no such data is collected by or transmitted to Rocheston. Local browser data is retained on the device only until the user clears it or uninstalls the app. DATA SECURITY Because browsing data is kept on the user's device and not transmitted to Rocheston, the primary protection for that data is the security of the user's own device and operating system. For network requests that are required for browsing, Vega supports secure protocols such as HTTPS and DNS over HTTPS where available. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS Because Rocheston does not collect or store users' personal data on its servers, there is no Rocheston-held personal data to access, correct, export, or delete. Users retain full control of their local browser data on the device at all times and can clear it through Vega or the operating system. Where applicable laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), grant additional rights, Rocheston supports those rights consistent with the fact that it does not collect or sell personal data. To exercise any applicable rights, users may contact Rocheston at the address below. CHANGES TO THIS NOTICE Rocheston may update this notice from time to time. When changes are made, the effective date above will be revised. Where required by applicable law, Rocheston will notify users of material changes through in-app notice or email.
